Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia rock trio The Boojums today return with the second single off of their debut full-length, “Burnin Up,” set for release on October 31, 2025 via Having Fun Records, a new imprint of Toronto’s We Are Busy Bodies.
The band returns with a brand new video shot around Cape Breton, and first not to be shot close-up in their practice space.
After an overwhelming response to their album announcement, the band will also release a new limited red album jacket and translucent red vinyl.
Formed in late 2024 and known for uploading fuzzed-out live VHS tapes to Reddit, Instagram and YouTube, The Boojums have quickly built a reputation for their refreshingly raw and unfiltered sound—equal parts nostalgic and forward-looking. Recorded live off the floor, their debut album channels themes of small-town escape, personal reckoning, and full-throttle freedom.
“‘Burnin Up” is about this one is about going for the person you want to be with and knowing that it’s not just a fling,” says guitarist and vocalist Willie Stratton.
The Boojums debut LP is out October 31 on vinyl, CD, and digitally via Having Fun Records.
